MVACL presently employs 91 people. Our staff team includes:
Support workers provide support to individuals with intellectual disabilities in all aspects of their lives. A typical day may include everything from administering medication, assisting with banking and personal hygiene, to accompanying someone to a local dance.
Support workers are employed in the following positions:
Full-time Support Worker - works regularly scheduled shifts of 40 hours or more per week.
Part-time Support Worker - works regularly scheduled shifts of less than 40 hours per week. Our part-time positions include a wide variety of shifts including overnight asleep positions, 57.5 hour alternate weekend positions, and various day and evening shifts.
Our frontline support staff are members of OPSEU Local 473.
Casual Support Worker - has no regularly scheduled hours, but picks up shifts we are unable to cover with our full and part-time staff. Casual staff are not members of the bargaining unit.
